How to Convert ASCII to Decimal?

It is really easy to convert ASCII to a decimal numbers system. You can use the ASCII table for this conversion, or you can use our ASCII to decimal converter above.

It is easy because ASCII is already a code representing decimal numbers against letters. The original ASCII is 128 decimal characters. The decimal number from 0 to 127 is allocated to each one of those, including letters of the numbers, punctuation marks, and the English alphabet.

To manually convert ASCII to decimal, identify the character in the ASCII table, and pick the decimal number against each character in your ASCII string. Let’s convert the string “Hello World” to decimal by using the ASCII table. Remember, there are different decimal numbers for upper and lower case letters of English alphabets.

Using the ASCII table, get the decimal number against each letter in “Hello World,” including space.

“Hello” = \(72 101 108 108 111\)

Space = \(32\)

“World” = \(87 111 114 108 100\)

So the string “Hello World” will be \(”72 101 108 108 111 32 87 111 114 108 100”\) in decimal number system.
